Snapchat-Inspired Social App

Built during a web-development internship at Explorin Academy: a Snapchat-inspired social media application, implemented end-to-end in Django.

• All of it wired through Django's models, views, templates, and ORM

The API layer

Beyond the template-rendered app, I built and integrated Django REST APIs backing the same functionality — supporting full CRUD operations, URL routing, form handling, and database queries optimized through the Django ORM.

This was where a lot of the backend fundamentals clicked: how models map to tables, how the ORM turns Python into efficient SQL, and where a naïve query quietly becomes an N+1 problem you have to go back and fix.
